- Parents, guardians, teachers, counselors, and others shouldn’t write Personal Insight responses of students.
- Write in your own voice instead of trying to emulate others’ voices.
Is there structure to the response?
- Responses shouldn’t be one lengthy paragraph. Should be an intro paragraph, body paragraphs, and conclusion to wrap it up.
- Use short direct sentences vs. long run-on sentences so you don’t lose the reader.
Does the response flow?
- Paragraphs should have transition sentences than allow responses to flow.
- Responses should be cohesive and not sound like different responses merged into one.
