College Day at West Angeles: October 11th
West Angeles is hosting a special College Day on October 11th featuring two valuable opportunities for students exploring higher education options.
From 10:00-11:00 a.m., Boise State University will present at the Family Life Center. Despite misconceptions about the location, over 40 students from the program have successfully attended Boise State, with exceptional career outcomes. The school offers competitive pricing - often cheaper than CSU schools for students with 2.9 GPAs or above who qualify for exclusive scholarships. Students attending will be entered into raffles for book scholarships and free SAT prep opportunities for juniors and 10th graders.
Immediately following at 11:00 a.m., the Christian College Fair begins in the church concourse, hosted by NACAP (North American Coalition for Christian College Admissions Professionals). Schools like Liberty College, Seattle Pacific University, Biola University, Azusa Pacific University, and Fresno Pacific will be present. For families already considering private colleges that cost $75,000-$100,000 annually, Christian colleges offer high-quality education at $30,000-$40,000 with significantly more financial aid available for minority students. Registered attendees receive goodie bags with incentives.
Both events provide essential experience in comparing college presentations and connecting with representatives - valuable skills regardless of where students ultimately apply.
