Travel Schedule
Sunday, December 7th:
Drop-off: LAX Terminal 3 (Delta) at 5:45 AM sharp
Departure: 8:00 AM non-stop to Washington DC
Arrival: 3:43 PM Eastern Time at Reagan National
Evening: Visit Lincoln Memorial and downtown DC sites
Monday, December 8th:
10:00 AM: Howard University tour (arriving 9:40 AM)
1:30 PM: George Washington University information session & tour
Departure: 4:35 PM from DC (via Las Vegas)
Pick-up: LAX at 9:15 PM
What Students Need
ID Requirements:
Under 18: School ID or driver's license
Over 18: Real ID or passport
To Pack:
Warm clothes (DC will be cold)

Medications
Empty water bottle
Spending money: $75-$100 (for airport meals)
Before You Leave:
Check with teachers about Monday assignments/tests
Arrange make-up work or retakes for Tuesday
Lodging
One night at Courtyard Marriott in Crystal City (near airport). Students will be paired two per room.
Refund: $75 lodging refund available for those who paid the original fee (trip was shortened from 2 nights to 1).

Group enters security at 5:50 AM

Pick-up (Monday night):
LAX at 9:15 PM
Students will call from Las Vegas when flight is on time

Tour Details
Howard University: Full information session followed by 45-minute campus tour. The Howard bookstore visit will only happen if the entire group agrees (it's off campus and adds significant time).
George Washington University: Information session at 1:30 PM followed by student-led tour of the Foggy Bottom campus.
This is a compressed 2-day trip designed to maximize college visits while ensuring students are back for school Tuesday. Students should inform teachers now about missing Monday.
The group size is small (5 students), making transportation via Uber XL vehicles efficient. Metro train use is possible Sunday evening if the group has energy after travel.
