Upcoming College Planning Events and Resources

We have announced several valuable college planning events and resources for students and families. These events focus on affordable college options and practical guidance for the admissions process.

Key Upcoming Events

  1. September 28th - Class of 2026 This online session will cover CSU and UC admissions processes, college visit preparation, and current events affecting college admissions. Class of 2027 students (11th graders) are also welcome to attend.

  2. October 11th - Dual Event Day

    • 10:00 AM: Boise State University presentation at the Family Life Center

    • 11:00 AM: Christian College Fair hosted by NACAP (North American Coalition for Admission Professionals) featuring 15-20 Christian schools in the cathedral concourse

  3. October 14th - Lakewood City College Fair Over 70 colleges will be present at this fair in Lakewood, with scholarship opportunities available. No pre-registration required.

  4. October 22nd - Lakewood Workshop A comprehensive workshop covering the college admissions process, costs, Common App, UC applications, FAFSA, and grade-level specific preparation. Topics will include loan forgiveness changes under current administration policies and the digital SAT.

  5. October 25th - College Affordability Presentation This Family Life Center event will address "What will college cost?", "Can I afford college?", and feature discussions on five affordable colleges versus five unaffordable ones, plus FAFSA considerations.
