How To Find Outside Scholarships

Please Note: West A EEP is not a scholarship search organization but we do teach how to FIND Scholarships

  • Check Sources.....Ask other parents and peers, search company websites (e.g. utility companies).

  • USE GOOGLE – Yep! The list literally changes every time you search! Try these search terms:

    • “College Scholarships 2020”

    • “College Scholarships”

    • “Company College Scholarships”

    • etc.

  • Search 2-3 times per week!

  • ONLY APPLY WHEN YOU MEET THE SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  • Print out and read ALL forms and directions

  • Record the due dates on a digital calendar with a reminder (Pro-tip: Set a few days before it’s actually due)!

How EEP Can Help With Scholarships

  • Recommendations = OK if you are regular attendee and our program Director, Deacon John Wilson actually KNOWS the student from SAT Class or After School.

    • Otherwise, someone who knows you personally is best.

  • Submit recommendation requests to Deacon John Wilson 2 weeks in advance!

    • Need web address and form(s) plus the specific person to which the letter will be addressed too.

  • Members = West Angeles Sponsorship Fund Award. Yes we will recommendation you for this award if we see fit!
