If you are an English speaker, you may speak many french words a day without being aware of it. There are about 1700 French words that exist in the English language. Some of these words are borrowed from French, and some English words are borrowed from the French language (SummaLinguae, 2022). The next time you tell yourself that learning another language is impossible, remember you already speak a little French.
